2023年9月23日和9月24日，2023海椰丝·中国最强大力士赛在上海市浦东举办。在这场震撼的较量中，两位传奇大力士分别担任主裁判，其中包括齐德鲁纳斯·萨维卡斯（Big Z），拥有7次世界最强大力士冠军、8次阿诺德大力士经典赛冠军的传奇人物；另一位是马丁斯·利希斯（Martins Licis），这位曾夺得2019世界最强大力士冠军、2021 Rogue邀请赛冠军以及2022阿诺德大力士经典赛冠军等多项耀眼战绩。
本次比赛邀请到了吕小军，这位曾夺得2009年世界举重锦标赛冠军、2012伦敦奥运会举重冠军、2016里约奥运会举重冠军以及2020东京奥运会举重冠军的辉煌举重选手。
来自十多个国家和地区的五十多名大力士运动员，分为7个体重组进行比赛。各体重组的冠军将获得直接晋级国际职业大力士赛事的资格，包括“官方大力士赛”和“阿诺德业余大力士赛”。本届海椰丝·中国最强大力士赛是中国唯一提供这一资格的赛事。
2023海椰丝·中国最强大力士赛的比赛项目分为两天进行，共有7个挑战选手的经典大力士项目。这些项目包括圆木推举、搬运接力、传统硬拉、抛沙袋、巨物哑铃单臂推举、距离搬运：鼎，以及阿特拉斯巨石。每个项目都是极具挑战性和观赏性的大力士竞技。
在本次比赛中，来自德国和韩国的运动员安雅·薛夫讷打破了亚洲女子硬拉项目的世界纪录，成功拉起了惊人的220公斤重量。
经过两天的激烈比拼，本次比赛各体重组的冠军分别由来自英国的斯嘉丽·哈维（Scarlett Harvey）、中国选手吴俏杰、德国和韩国的安雅·薛夫讷（Anja Schuffner）、中国选手肖天宇、泰国选手依提婆·西蒙（Ittipol Srimuang）、捷克选手吉里·提卡迪茨卡（Jiri Tkadilcik）以及中国选手孙光颖夺得。
2024年海椰丝将在全国各大城市举办城市最强大力士赛，各城市赛的各体重组的冠亚军将获得晋级参加年底的中国最强大力士赛的资格。
On September 23 and 24, 2023, the 2023 LIFT ON Strongman China's Strongest took place in Shanghai’s Pudong District. The event featured two legendary strongmen as head judges: Zydrunas Savickas (Big Z), a seven-time World’s Strongest Man and eight-time Arnold Strongman Classic champion, and Martins Licis, the 2019 World’s Strongest Man, 2021 Rogue Invitational champion, and 2022 Arnold Strongman Classic winner.
The competition also welcomed Olympic weightlifting legend Lü Xiaojun, a world champion and Olympic gold medalist from the 2009 World Championships, 2012 London Olympics, 2016 Rio Olympics, and 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Over 50 strongman athletes from more than ten countries and regions competed across seven weight categories. The champions in each group earned direct qualification for top-tier international competitions, including the Official Strongman Games and the Arnold Amateur Strongman World Championships. The LIFT ON Strongman China Finals is the only event in China that offers this qualification.
The two-day event featured seven classic strongman challenges designed to push athletes to their limits. Events included the log press, relay carry, traditional deadlift, sandbag toss, monster dumbbell press, distance carry with a traditional Chinese Ding, and the iconic Atlas Stones. Each event showcased extreme physical power and spectator appeal.
During the competition, Anja Schuffner, an athlete representing Germany and South Korea, broke the Asian women’s deadlift world record with a lift of 220 kilograms.
After two days of intense competition, the champions of each weight category were: Scarlett Harvey from the UK, Wu Qiaojie from China, Anja Schuffner from Germany and Korea, Xiao Tianyu from China, Ittipol Srimuang from Thailand, Jiri Tkadilcik from the Czech Republic, and Sun Guangying from China.
In 2024, LIFT ON Strongman will organize “City Strongest” competitions across major cities in China. The top two finishers in each weight class will qualify for the national finals later in the year, continuing to elevate the level of competition and discover new strongman talent across the country.
