Beyond the Podium: Suryadi’s Roar That Moved the Arena
The Strongman Finish That Left Everyone Cheering for the Last Man Standing
At the 2025 Lift On Strongman® New Legends, held during the 13th International Fitness Expo (IFE), every rep, every meter, every shout became a story. And in the Men’s U90 Division, what happened in the final seconds of the 260KG carry will be etched into the very soul of this sport.
The event pushed athletes from 220KG to 260KG carries. It was a brutal test of grip, lungs, and heart.
🇿🇦 South Africa's JP tore through the course with ferocious speed, crossing the finish line first. The crowd erupted—until they realized his scream wasn’t a cry of celebration.
It was a battle cry.
A roar for someone else.
🇮🇩 Indonesia's Suryadi, still back on the course, was fighting for every step. With torn calluses, shaking arms, and pain carved into every expression, he pulled the 260KG implement forward inch by inch—until he, too, crossed that line.
🎥 JP blazed across the finish line first—But his roar wasn't for victory
A Moment That Defines the Sport
As Suryadi raised his arms and screamed “LET'S GOOOO!!!” with bloodied hands and a face full of fire, the crowd knew:
This was more than a finish.
-
It was defiance in the face of failure.
-
It was victory over who he used to be.
-
It was strongman stripped to its rawest form—not about medals, but about breaking past limits.
JP’s gesture—turning from his own win to cheer for his fellow athlete—reminded us all what makes this sport different. This is not just competition. This is shared fire.
The Essence of Lift On Strongman®
This event wasn’t won by just one man. It was won by a spirit—one shared between nations, under the heat of lights and weight of stones.
-
For JP, it was about more than his own time.
-
For Suryadi, it was a personal reckoning.
-
For everyone watching, it was a masterclass in what it means to refuse to quit.
At Lift On Strongman®, we don’t just lift weights.
We lift each other.
